The club has agreed to a solution of tidying up the paladins in the middle of the main lake. The bins that are currently on top of the paladins will be removed leaving the top of the paladins, which after investigation, are approximately 3 feet below the surface with a level top. Stakes will be placed around the edges of the paladins and an edging will be secured to these. A thick Polythene membrane will then be added to allow for planting. The Pot swill then be the filled with soil and will be approximately 10 inches above the surface of the lake.
The committee has decided to add a ‘stock pond’ or area to Shadwells to enable the club to try to grow fish on in a safe environment. After much deliberation, it has been decided to use the area by the bridge as it has meets the criteria needed. This includes the depth of water, ease of construction and security of interference from vandalism. The area requires a secure netting to secure the area from predation so will include a ‘roof’ to stop Cormorants from accessing the area. Another requirement is to secure the bank side to stop any interference from vandals and poachers. A few suppliers of netting have been found and prices obtained. The netting is available for immediate delivery and will be ordered when necessary. The club will also need to order some

more supports and connectors along with wire rope to complete the project. Whilst
the area is being created, it will be necessary to temporarily allow the depth of
water to decrease, in order to make this task easier. This is now easily achievable
with the control of the inlet. Access to the area will be from the water to the side
of the ‘Disabled swim’ by boat or by wading. Drawings have been provided, to show
the general construction of the stock pond
